As part of Nissan's Customer Experience 2.0 (CE 2.0) initiative, the Making Confident Financial Decisions journey aimed to empower customers with the information they needed to make informed financing choices. The first phase of CEBIP was implemented to support this journey through the development of the Global Finance Calculator. This calculator provided customers with access to region-specific finance offers, EMI simulations, and quote creation functionalities, streamlining the financing process and enhancing the customer experience.
Project Scope
The Global Finance Calculator leveraged CEBIP as a central orchestration layer to integrate various systems and provide a seamless user experience. The process flow was as follows:
- Customer Interaction (PACE/OEM Website): The customer interacts with the PACE/OEM website, selecting a car and exploring finance options.
- Request for Finance Offers: The PACE/OEM website sends a request to CEBIP for available finance offers.
- Regional Finance Offer Retrieval: CEBIP orchestrates the request to the appropriate Regional Core Systems to retrieve region-specific finance offers.
- Offer Presentation: CEBIP returns the region-specific finance offers to the PACE/OEM website for display to the customer.
- EMI Simulation Request: After selecting a finance offer and providing basic information, the customer can request an EMI simulation. This request is sent to CEBIP.
- Indicative Interest Rate (IIR) and EMI Calculation: CEBIP requests the Indicative Interest Rate (IIR) from the Regional Core Systems based on the selected offer. It then performs the EMI simulation, including an amortization schedule, using the received IIR.
- EMI and Amortization Schedule Display: The calculated EMI and amortization schedule are returned to the PACE/OEM website for the customer.
- Quote Creation Request: When the customer decides to proceed, a request for quote creation is sent to CEBIP.
- Quote Creation Orchestration: CEBIP orchestrates the quote creation process, interacting with both the Regional Core Systems and the Regional Credit Bureau (if necessary) to gather all required information, including credit scores.
- Quote Creation Acknowledgement: Upon successful quote creation, CEBIP sends an acknowledgement back to the PACE/OEM website.
